GMAT in october. Please HELP [#permalink] New post 03 Jun 2009, 09:29
Hi everyone I've just started my GMAT prep, I'm planning to give my exam in october. I'm aiming for a score of 700. I have very less time, so should i go for a coaching institute ? If yes then which one is the best in New delhi (india) NCR area ? Or should i study on my own ? What should be my strategy to get the best possible score ? Do you think the following books would be enough for the score that I'm aiming for ?

1. Kaplan premier
2. OG review
3. Kaplan 800
4. OG review verbal
5. Manhattan SC book

Any suggestions or help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

P.S. - My weakest point is my Maths. I'm really weak in the subject. Throughout my education Maths has been a major setback. Please advise and help.

Please check if you can get OG 10th edition.
This book has more number of probelms than OG11.
For maths it will be helpful.

Please go through the sylabus and check which subtopics you think are difficult for you.
There are many good links for topice / tricks on inequality / probability.....you may start off with the once you fear the most.

The book you listed are good to start with.

If Math is your weakest, look into the Cliff's Math Book or a new book by Kaplan - Math Foundations - it is very detailed from basics to advanced http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/160714 ... 1607140861

I find the mgmat guides also useful. They have 7 guides and 4 of them are for quant and are divided into two parts - basic and advanced. They also organize the OG problems based on topic and difficulty.

I am not sure about your budget, but if you want to spend more try gmathacks.com's Total Math. I payed $100 for the two pdf's and both seem pretty good, more geared towards 700+.
