Hello All, Gave my first GMAT attempt on May 9,2011. Got a dismal 590 (Q49, V21). Hence, I created the username redemption590! I couldnt believe my eyes when is saw the screen! Although Quant reflects my prep scores, I have never scored so low in Verbal. As anyone would, I plan to retake the test and nail the GMAT on its head. My main concern is the time I would need to prep for a retake. I am thinking of june 8 as the date. Effectively, I have one month in my hand. As I a working, I wont be able to spare more than 4 hrs daily. My weak areas are: 1. RC 2. CR(the tougher ones) to some extent. I am quite confident of my SC abilities. I need to improve my verbal score considerably. I am aiming for a 710+ score and i know I have that ability in me. GMAT prep materials used: 1. OG 12, OG verbal and quant review 2. kaplan premiere, kaplan verbalMy GMAT1 prep scores : MGMAT - 660 Kaplan - 660 GMATPrep1 - 690 GMATPrep1 reset - 710 GMATPrep2 - 720 Veritas - 680 Princeton - 730! (Q51, V40)( phew! Gave it 2 days before test- this had really boosted my confidence ) I simply cannot figure out the area i screwed up in! Although I have been using GMATClub, I never used the error log. I have downloaded it and will surely use it now. I know for sure that 590 does not reflect my ability. Please guide me on how to use the time I have in hand effectively. Need help from you experts!

Interesting thread. One thing that really helped me and my friend was wearing noise canceling headphones in the exam. They're sometimes provided by the test center.
