New member here. I'm currently studying for the GMAT and think a tutor might be helpful in supplementing my MGMAT course. Does anyone have experience hiring a tutor? Is craigslist the best place to find such a tutor? What's a reasonable price to pay and what should I look for? Thanks! Goodluck all!

We used to charge close to $200/hour - essentially catering towards the wealthy here in the New York area. Honestly - not exactly proud of it.

But that was before we put together the GMAT Pill course - which simulates the private GMAT tutoring experience and provides a lot more for a lot less. Could be a great alternative if you can't find the perfect one.

More reasonable tutoring rates are around $50 - $120 /hr. Varies by location of course.

Good luck on your search!
