Re: GMAT PILL Mock CAT ! [#permalink]
I just had the gmatpill free mock:

Q: 19 out of 37 --> Score: 30
V: 29 out of 41 --> Score: 35

Compared to Kaplan:

Q: 17 out of 37 --> Score 40
V: 24 out of 41 --> Score 35

What seems to be more accurate here :/

Hi LaxAvenger,

Have you taken either of the CATs from www.mba.com? If so, then how did you score on those CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

As far as your broader timeline and goals are concerned:

1) What is your goal score?
2) When are you planning to take the GMAT?
3) When are you planning to apply to Business School?

Hi,

I will take an official CAT next week/this week to see how it compares.
My goal score is basically a safe 600+ .. more aiming for 650.
Gmat is on 08th of November 2015.
I will apply then next year around february or so.

Hi LaxAvenger,

With a November 8th Test Date, you still have plenty of time to study. With the 'gap' between that Test Date and your application deadlines, you also have plenty of time to retake the GMAT if necessary. Your score goal is reasonable, so you just have to make sure that you're working with the proper resources and working in a consistent fashion during your studies.

How long have you been studying?
What resources have you been using?

Just did the first official cat from gmat prep software:

Scaled Scores:

Quant 42
Verbal 40

Overall 670

I highly doubt the accuracy of gmatpill ...

Hi LaxAvenger,

Assuming that you took the FULL CAT and did so under realistic and test-like conditions, then this score is a really good sign. Given your goals, you might want to take the GMAT earlier and get it out of the way. If you could 'lock up' a similar Official Score fairly soon, then you could free up the rest of that time that you had set aside for studying. This would also give you time to retake the GMAT if necessary.
