1. x<y+z: 1<3+7, no as z=7, or 2<4+3, yes as z=3 and is median for 2,3,4
2. y=z. Yes. then z is a median. pick any positive integers:

x, z, y: 1, 2, 2. or 3, 4, 4 or 5, 10, 10
