GMAT preparation and test date [#permalink] New post 13 Sep 2009, 06:53
Hello everyone

I decided to take GMAT test for MBA programs that I want to apply. Earliest deadlines are in January so I need to take test for a first time until then.

I need your advice about good test date for me.
I have started to prepare myself with Kaplan 2009 book and I have just finished with Critical reasoning. I am really good in math so I don´t think I will be spending too much time on It. Writing essays I need to practice a little bit, but I have been in summer school of Academic English where I have been learned how to write them.

Today is 13.9. and I have left to study rst of Verbal part, Math part and essays. What do you think would be a good date to take the GMAT?

These are my options:
10.10.2009.
31.10.2009.
14.11.2009.
28.11.2009.
05.12.2009.
19.12.2009.

Please help me with your advices

Hello ante21000,

Welcome to GMATclub.

My advice is to take a diagnostic test and then develop your action plan with the results of that test. You say you're fine with quant, but can you deal with the time constraints on the GMAT?

We have a thread dedicated to review of practice tests, as well as a free diagnostic test offered by this site.

Review of practice tests:

GMAT Club tests:

Based your diagnostic test, you can assess how much time to dedicate to preparation, and then decide which date to select for the test.

I agree, consider also going through this post: gmat-study-plan-for-gmat-novices-start-your-gmat-journey-80727.html

Go ahead and download GMATprep, take one of the tests and then we'll talk.
