Yeah exactly! the score is quite unbalanced. and the score of 20 in verbal makes me feel like jumping off the cliff.
i was talking about top 50 universities in my previous post. Do these 'top 20' universities really consider applications of 650+ scores?
I always thought they take candidates with scores of 700+ only!


On average, the top 20 have a class average of 710-720. Obviously, they have quite a few 760+ scorers. Had they been focusing only on 700+ people, their average would have been much higher. A 670 has a fair shot too with a brilliant app. But yes, below 650, the chances reduce significantly. I have heard of 590 in the top 5 too but they are truly exceptional cases.

Hi , I scored a 650 on GMAT (w/o AWA).
What colleges can I target ( I am a post graduate with a 5 year experience )
