Hello Everyone,
I just came completed my GMAT today few hours back. I got a score of 670 - 49Q and 31V.
Before, I share my experience hope few experts are reading this post and if they can help further in understanding how I did and where I stand.
I aim to get into ISB (India) first preference followed by options to SMU or UT Austin. Please let me know your views if this score is enough or do I need to retake it?
Experience:
I decided to take GMAT a month back and prepared rigorously for the 30 days time I had. Completed Kaplan, ManHattan etc and was confident to get a good score. But on the day of the exam believe me after you complete the new IR section the numbers really get on your nerves. I felt time was running out when doing 11th and 12th Q of IR section. Once that's done comes our favorite (Engineer) Quant section and as always we are expected to do good and it can be easily completed in time. One advice though ensure that you do not GUESS answers for two questions in a row, that might pull your score down. By the time my Quant was over I was already exhausted and I guess that is what GMAT exam tries to check you on, how you can keep yourself full on when the Verbal part starts. I felt I rushed through some of my RC's because I was too tired with the previous questions and eventually that starts to get on you and make you commit mistakes. As can be seen from my score above.
But nonetheless considering it was my First attempt and in a short time frame I'd say I scored decent, so all you aspirants reading this don't give up thinking you can do. I thought the same but I tried and I see myself close to doing it probably when I retake it.
Dont mind asking questions if you have any, I am here to help.
Cheers and All the best!!
