GMAT - steady increase....look good? [#permalink] New post 11 Jun 2004, 13:30
Hi Linda-

I've taken the GMAT three times and am finally finished with the test. My scores:

640 (55% Q, 91%V)
660 (80% Q, 81%V)
690 (67% Q, 96%V)

Wondering how this looks to the admissions committess at the top 10. I've busted my butt for 6 months to make sure I went up. I'm happy w/ the 50 point increase.

A bit bummed that the quant fell on my 3rd try, but the 2nd try shows that I'm capable of a "well balanced" score.

(FYI - there will be no 4th attempt...no way no how)
Any doubts w/ the Q score will (hopefully) be resolved by my taking a calc course this summer.

Any thoughts? Do schools see all 3 attempts?

Thanks.

Schools will see the 3 attempts. They will react much the same you did. They will take the 690 and like the 50 point increase overall, but be a little concerned about the 67% quant. Those concerns will be somewhat lessened by your previous quant score, and an A in calculus this summer will do help them -- and you -- be confident of your quant skills.

Good luck!
