You rock! Especially considering the circumstances you and your wife are in. Don't worry 710 is good enough to have a shot at the T15 schools. Good luck!

Chiragparekh, the best materials to start with are the official guides. Pls. start with them, if you have not already. For detailed guides there are plenty of vendors available. We preferred Manhattan guides and tests. Forums like GMATClub help you get the best out of the crowd.

Srivicool, we started with scores around 650, lingered sufficiently around 680, 720 and finally around 760. Don't worry about time crunches in Verbal - with practice, you will be able to identify question patterns and answer them faster.

Cano, yes, its tough to be parents without any assistance and to study for GMAT. I hope and wish you write a great, inspiring GMAT story soon enough!

Shankar, thanks for your reply. Where you intend to apply now, are you based out of India?

Further, I was wondering, where can I buy the GMAT Manhattan Tests CDs from in India? Thanks.

Chirag,

Manhattan offers a one year access to their online tests (for a fee). I got that. It was very helpful. You can check this out here: http://www.manhattangmat.com/Store.cfm

And yes, I'm from India.

Regards,
Shankar.

Shankar, did you use additional books on English grammar or was Manhattan SC just enough?

Hi Shankar,
What an amazing debrief. I have a 5 year old kid. I had scored 680 in my last attempt that I took couple of years ago. Now, I am gearing ahead for 700+.

I am practising mainly with OG10 and OG11 (my older ones that I had used for my first attempt). I hope this is sufficient. I have scheduled my exam in October end and am planning with practice test every week starting from tomorrow. I hope this is sufficient.

great story! +1

I'm also applying with my wife and we took together the GMAT/
I think a couple preparing together is really good because you are definitely more focused and motivated.

Good luck in your applications!
