As I mentioned in my previous post that I am planning to retake GMAT after I did not scored well last time.

Currently, I have following books:
1) OG 12th
2) The Official Guide for GMAT Verbal Review
3)The Official Guide for GMAT Quantitative Review

I am also planning to buy MGMAT Guides

Before practicing real GMAT questions from OGs, it is best that you go through the content that you will be tested.
So I advise you to go through the MGMAT guides and only after mastering the topics in these guides that you start practicing questions from the OGs.

Piece of advise, if you are short in time and you feel confident about your quantitative abilities, you can easily ignore first 50% of quantitative questions from the OGs.
I cannot advise you the same regarding verbal, as I have just started preparing for the verbal.

I agree, with Jack. I went through the practice problems, but only did well after I built a solid foundation using the MGMAT guides and gave me more confidence that I had a sense of what the GMAT would test.

I would disagree that you ignore the first 50% of problems, unless you are having no issue. Do a few here or there just to a get a feel for them. I went through them quickly so that I can get a sense of how fast I can get through them without making careless mistakes, so I can get to the harder bins on the adaptive test. Also, I found the "easy" questions can reappear as a hard questions in different forms.

Agree with the above.
1. Study the material in MGMAT
2. Practice questions in OG
3. Do practice exams. Mgmat has 6 CAT exams with the books.
