GMAT test date. [#permalink] New post 09 Jul 2009, 10:52
I am planning to take the GMAT on 22nd September. Will i have sufficient time after that to meet the
Fall 2010 Application Deadline & Decision Schedule for the major Universities since i need to take TOEFL also.
or maybe i should take the GMAT a bit earlier. Most of the univs have their Round One app date as 20th Oct 2009.
Any suggestions please.

1. Take TOEFL First. TOEFL is easier and will give you confidence with the test, test center, and overall experience

2. Which schools are you applying to? I assume R1?
See this list of top 12 schools:
Some are as early as October 1st for R1 - HBS, Wharton, Insead, etc. Usually you need at least 3 weeks (4 recommended) before the school deadline. Preferrable earlier as you will have quite a few other tasks to do to fill out the application, write essays, get LOR's, etc. Research the schools you want to apply to, and build a calendar for when what is due.

Agree. In addition, you have to take TOEFL first because it takes much more time. ETS tends to report your score in approximately 3 weeks and additional 4 to 6 weeks to send it to designated schools.
