GMAT Timer I've written a simple timer (for Windows XP, Vista) for GMAT. It will definitely be useful in preparation. 12/29/2010 Please, use it as it is. I won't support it at least for the near future. If you need a more sophisticated timer, please, take a look at the GMAT ToolKit (iPhone/iPod Touch application). If somebody wants to improve it, I will find and send you source files (CodeGear, Delphi) Thanks, Walker.

No sounds? control panel-> sounds and audio devices-> sounds tab-> check if the sound scheme is selected to "No sounds" , instead it should be selected to "Windows default". Other Timer Resources useful for the GMAT - Links to timers for an Apple Computer:
- Links to a Flash timer:
- Links to an MS Excel timers/Error Logs:
As of 6/2010, we have a Timer built into the GMAT Club Question Forums: See this discussion for more details and a demo. It provides you with a list of all the questions you attempted! Attachment:

Hi, Thanks for the wonderful tool. I have been using it for a while now. But I have encountered some issues it it at times. The timer increases the "time available" to something random like 2400. has anyone else faced this?

I have never seen timer while solving problems. Is it built in? How to reactivate it? looks like i have deactivated it. Please tell me how to see built in timer. I went through the thread somebody wrote that it is on the first thread. But going through it, I am finally driven to this thread

OK. Can we track time spent for each question while answering? How do we find out if we have exceeded the 2 min mark for a given question? Do we need to note down the time at the start of the question and keep monitoring it while answering the question?

Do we need to note down the time at the start of the question and keep monitoring it while answering the question? no. you will see only a countdown timer for the whole section. the timer shows the remaining time. It is up to you how you trace the remainning time. the most useful is to keep in mind that there are only 2 min per question. so if you are dealing with the 20th question on your timer you must see 75-20*2=35 minutes remaining.

I am spending 4 mins on some of the questions but only 1:30 on some questions. Is this a normal phenomenon?

I wish I could give walker 100 kudos for this.
At least 1 must give now!
+1 to walker!
Just one question. Given that all the practice CAT softwares have in-built timer, what are the best options to use this software for? Any inputs?
