Hi all. In 11 hours and a half I have my GMAT.
Industrial Engineer, working as software project manager and consultant in the healthcare sector, 30 years old, applying to ESADE and IESE (if I do a MBA this year it has to be in Barcelona because of personal reasons, but besides that IESE is my first choice. Second is LBS). Non-native english speaker (raised in Colombia, did college there, lived on two ocassions in the US and now hopping around eurozone). Looking for a career change.
Thanks all for the board, been a great reference and interesting to read.
Anyway, been studying about 3 weeks. My TOEFL is high (300), and I´ve been concentrating more in Q (which shows). These are my scores so far:
Code:
May 2 45/34 650 GmatPrep 1 85%
May 22 48/35 680 GmatPrep 2 90%
May 24 42/31 600 Kaplan 3 75%
May 20 30/35 550 Kaplan 1 60%
May 21 34/33 570 Kaplan 2 67%
I believe I can do better than these scores - many items wrong cause of silly mistakes.
As a little game, anyone care to take a guess at my score tomorrow?
IESE´s average is 670. Because I think I have a decent application/resumé, I dont think I need a bright GMAT. Sure, it would help, but with anything above 650 I´ll be happy tomorrow. Below that I think it will count against me. 700 would make me very happy, just for the thrills of being above the psychological 'barrier' of the 7.
We´ll see. Again, guesses??
Regards all, again, thanks,
