GMAT verbal practice test [#permalink] New post 05 Jul 2011, 21:10
I just took a timed practice test of the hard verbal questions from The Princeton Review 2012 book. I got 18 out of 26 right. Is that a decent start? It is the first time that I've looked at the test. I'm not too worried about the math, but I will hit it hard as well. I'm shooting for at least a 650. What percentage of questions should I shoot to get correct to hit at a min a 650?

It's a decent start, though not sure if looking at questions from a book is the best representation of where you stand. Download GMATPrep software from mba.com and take a full test in front of a computer. That'll be a better test of where you really stand.

Remember, it's not just about answering questions correctly sitting at your comfortable desk at home. There's a large psychological component that may ultimately determine whether you score on the higher end or lower end of your range.
