xy+z = x(y+z)
z = x(y+z) - xy
z = x(y+z -y)
z = xz

so, either x is 1 or z is 0

Yes E is correct !

I made a silly error and landed up with B....which also seems to work

xy+z = x(y+z)

1*1+z=1(1+z)

i.e.
1+z = 1+z

E. This reduces to the equation

z=xz, which can only hold if either z=0 or x=1
