GMATPrep Scoring?

Hi guys, I noticed the following after taking GMATPrep twice:

GMATPrep 1: Q43 - 13 incorrect
GMATPrep 1 retake: Q47 - 14 incorrect

Why is it that my quant score is higher, even though I had more incorrect answers? Is it because I got more difficult questions right during the second time? Is there any experimental question in GMATPrep?

Don't think there is a way - at least I can't figure out how to do that in the software.
I looked through my logs and did not find it there...

You are right about the "more difficult questions right"; the GMAT scoring is based on difficulty level of correct answers, not soley on the amount of wrong/right answers. Hope that helps!

There are 3 things:
1. Questions of different difficulty are scored differently
2. More mistakes early on in the test will yield lower score
3. Experimental questions do not count
