GMATPrep scoring algorithm [#permalink] New post 20 Mar 2006, 09:17
Hi all-
just took a GMATPrep test and scored a 46 in quant, which is about a 8-10 point improvement over when i took one about 2 months ago, :)

anyway, I got 13 questions wrong. Out of those 13, there was one question that I beleive is a typo, or the answer is not recorded correctly
http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=26184
and there were 4 that I just made stupid errors on. rushed calculations, etc.
so, say I were to answer those 5 correctly, is there a rule of thumb to estimate what my quant score would have been?
I guess it's tough because some questions aren't counted, etc...
maybe if anyone remembers the number of right/wrong answers they had.

Extremely hard to even guess, because questions are weighted based on difficulty and where they fall in your test, so I honestly wouldn't worry about that. Just press on and be more careful.
