Guys, I am really bad in SC.. Here is the sentence we have:

So called green taxes, which exact a price for the use of polluting or nonrenewable fuels, are having positive effect on the environment and natural resource base in countries as varied as China, Netherlands, Brasil.

In simple form, try reading the sentence as - [strike]So called[/strike]Green taxes[strike], which exact a price for the use of polluting or nonrenewable fuels,[/strike]are having positive effect on the environment and natural resource base in countries as varied as China, Netherlans, Brasil.

Here China, Netherlands and Brazil are infact the countries....So there is no necessity to use those of / that are / are.

have a doubt in this sentence does it mean China, Netherlands, Brasil are included or countries which are varied like these countries are included?
