Hjort-
I wanted to really take some time to think about this, and the more I think about it, the more I realize I am only scratching the surface of figuring out what I want to really focus on.
I know that I will probably (90%) return to the Twin Cities for my post-mba career. I really love the city and have family concerns that make this the perfect location for myself. I am planning on a corporate finance major and possibly put a general management/strategy tilt on that depending on the school/curriculum. Knowing that I will be looking to get recruited by the limited number of large companies in the Twin Cities, I am focusing almost solely on the midwest as most of the companies I am targeting appear to only recruit heavily here.
Thus, here are the schools I am thinking of applying to.
Northwestern
Michigan
Indiana
Wisconsin (qualify for resident tuition)
Minnesota (qualify for resident tuition)
I think this gives me a reasonable list of top-end schools and a few schools where I can possibly expect to receive significant scholarship money. I can deal with the question of my first post once I have found out which schools have accepted me, etc.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Gopher
