I just wrote the GMAT and i got the shock of my life when i saw my score of 580 (Q41 V30). I admit that my preparation was well below par and I made the grave mistake of keeping no error log.
I just registered with Gmatclub and would want to use this opportunity to gain from member's experience.

I intend to retake in about 9-12 weeks but I need suggestions on strategies, advice, recommendations and study plans to reach my target of 750+.

Kindly advise.

Seems like you need to improve both your Quant and Verbal skills. You would need to score in the high 80 percentile on boh sections if you want a 750+. With that said, I would suggest you to purchase mgmat quant guide, powerscore cr bible and mgmat sc guide. And yes you definitey need an error log. I have one on my website but there are far better ones out here in the forum somewhere!

Hey Mahtab,

Thanks for your advice.

I really appreciate. I am very confident that i could easily raise my quant to 50+. I would get the books for the Verbal and also get more from the resources i have now.

Get your basics right , I would suggest for Verbal use the Manhattan series (especially the SC and CR parts) , het you basics right and then use OG 12 and OG11 for practice , You can also use Verbal review OG for practice , once done with this you can move to tests specific to verbal.

For quant cant suggest much , since I dont have any idea about the level of quants in different courses , but heard Manahttan can be good to review all the concepts.

Thanks for the post.
From various reviews, i have opted to focus on Powerscore CR and MGMAT SC and RC. I have the OG12 and I know that MGMAT Quant guides are also very good.
I think my greatest undoing was jumping to OG12 without 'getting my basics right'.
Lesson Learnt.

Thanks.

Read lots of newspapers to improve your proficiency with Verbal. Start with MGMAT for Quant then progress to GMAT Club tests. Surefire way to hit Q45+ on that end.
