Hi Guys!! My exam is on 21st Nov. The books I have referred for various topics are are only OG 13 and MGMAT, and I have only given two tests so far (Diagnostic Test and GMAT Prep 1). In the next 20 days I am planning to giv MGMAT CAT tests and GMAT Prep tests again and revise the concepts of Quant and verbal! I am working in an IT company and currently have alot of workload. Its seriously difficult to manage all this, but still want to give GMAT on 21st and not reschedule. have hardly practiced IR and AWA. Can anybody advise me how should I utilize my 15 days from now so that I cover all the essential concepts and give tests in order to get a good score. I am pretty nervous too.

Two friends of mine have recently taken the exam. Both of them have scored around 600. They had joined classes for the GMAT too. I am doing it all on my own! But I have a strong feeling that I will crack the GMAT and end up getting a reasonably good score.

Anyway, please advise me what to do in these 15 days! Should I give more tests or should I go through foundations of quant and verbal by reading the basics again and again?

Do the practice questions in the OG. Time yourself as you do them to work on timing. Review the answer explanations for all questions and pay careful attention to the problems that you got wrong. Focus on your weak areas, this is where you have the most potential for improvement. Use all the available practice tests to build up stamina and familiarity with the actual GMAT.

With 15 days left, focus on those aspects of the exam that are most challenging. It is the weak parts of your exam that are going to bring your score down. Also, do as many problems as your schedule permits and time them to make so you get use to what type of question deserve what type of time allocation. Lastly, get sleep. I have never seen a tired person do really well on this exam.

I would also recommend reading the GMAT ROADMAP book by manhattan GMAT. You would be positively surprised on how the "RIGHT STRATEGY" can help you in solving questions in a timed manner. I believe that MGMAT provides a preview on scribd for free. Try to read a few pages to see if their approach helps you and then consider buying the book. The articles about SC from Ron are top class, and others on timing strategy etc are also great.

Hey!..Thanks for the response!......I took an exam of GMAT POWERPREP(the old version of the official GMAT Prep exam by mba.com) and scored 530(Q45, V20)......better than my previous exam of GMAT Prep(the new one) in which I scored 440(Q34, V20)....Omg!!.....I need to improve my verbal score!!!........By EOD, I`ll be done with one more exam of GMAT Prep!!.........Will post its results!!..........Hope this time I cross the 600 score mark!!!....

I desperately need some motivation!!!!
Done with another exam!....GMAT Prep Test 2.....
Scores:-
I.R.....8/11
Quant.....42(Scaled Score).....59(Percentile)
Verbal....23(Scaled Score).....29(Percentile){S.C:- 10 Incorrect, C.R:- 6 Incorrect, R.C:- 3 Incorrect}
Total.......540(Scaled Score)...45(Percentile)

In short, its bad!!!!!!!!.............A marginal improvement than the previous score!......And the worst part is that I am not feeling bad!!!(maybe its a good thing..:-P)........But its motivating me to practice as much as I can!!........Guys, please advice me on how to improve my Verbal score!.....

HERE ARE THE RESULTS OF MY FIRST MGMAT CAT TEST!!
Q37 V27 TOTAL 540!!.........
Bad score!........But there is an improvement in Verbal!!.......
What should I concenterate more on now??
I feel like making my own formulae sheet from MGMAT Quant books and revising them again and again!!......Solving last 50 questions of O.G from each section!....Confident with A.W.A and to some extent I.R too!.....My main problem is that if I do Quant properly one - two days!.....After a week I tend to forget a number of strategies!!!..The same goes with Verbal!!...........Please do keep on posting with your advices!!......I have 6 days to go for my GMAT!!.......

That is a good idea. I have also done the same from NUMBER properties and GEOMETRY (topics with a lot of formulae that we have to memorize)..
