Good alternative to MGMAT books for Geometry and Combi/Prob? [#permalink] New post 21 Oct 2011, 07:07
Having gone through the 8 MGMAT guides, I am wondering what other books are recommended to delve deeper into Geometry, Combinatorics and Probability.

I have found the MGMAT a little lacking in these, as well as the Critical reasoning. For the CR, the Powerprep CR Bible was suggested to me, which I am reviewing and it is indeed quite helpful.

Any other suggestions for these 2 areas in Quant? I find the MGMAT books good for the rest of the topics and don't have many issues with it. I found them rather scant on Geometry, especially with the co-ordinate planes etc. (i.e. I am relying more on my memory from HS than what I got from these books).

Thanks.

You can check out the Veritas Geometry and Combinatorics books. Each of these topics has a separate book dedicated to it. In these books, everything that is GMAT relevant is discussed. They have a lot of practice questions and some really challenging problems too. If you go through these books properly, you shouldn't have any problem in these two areas.
