I am thinking about taking a pay cut to make a lateral move (associate to associate) to Goog.
I'll be going from a fairly well known entertainment company (non-traditional route) doing corp dev / strategy to product / consumer operation side at google. It would be a bit of a responsibility hit as well.
Do you guys think this will be that much helpful for my chances at top 5 b-school programs? Is this a no brainer of a situation if i am planning to attend b-school?
I came from a top 40 undergrad with very competitive GPA. I already have 3 years of experience under my belt. thanks in advance.
If you are going to have less responsibility, I would not recommend you make the move, unless the position you are going to is more closely aligned with your long-term goals.
