Hello,
I scored 660 (Q45, V35) yesterday and i am thinking whether to go ahead and give it a second try. However, I exhausted almost every material and put hard work in it. To be honest, I was expecting to score somewhere in 700s, but I guess I am not the type of a person who does well in stressful environment. I did manhattan CATs and scored in up 600s and lower 700s. I did GMATPREP tests and my test scores ranged from 640-680-720-740-750-760-780. upper 700s are inflated ones, because i did retake tests several times.
Honestly, Q45 is quite low for me, i always scored somewhere 48-49 when doing tests at home. I always took full length tests with 8-minute breaks. As for the verbal, I can not improve much in that area, I would say my best shot is 37-38 (BEST shot). I am also concerned on my IR score, which turned out to be 3 (25th percentile). My quant score is 63 percentile and verbal is 76 percentile, giving 80 percentile for overall score.
My background overview:
1) 5+ years experience
2) Undergraduate GPA 3.9 (finance at one of the state universities in US)
3) Master's GPA 3.76 (Risk Management at one of the state universities in US)
4) Volunteer activities while i was in college
5) 3+ years managerial experience, managing four departments at the third largest commercial bank in the country (departments are: Business Intelligence, Reporting, Controlling, Customer Experience)
6) I am a 28 year old female from Eastern European country
I was thinking about Cornell, Booth, Kellog and NYU. Do you think with this background info, these schools would consider me for an applicable candidate? Or do you recommend retaking GMAT? (although, i am not sure what exactly to improve. probably, be less nervous and more conscious).
Thank you in advance!
