Got in - what to do now? [#permalink]
28 Mar 2011, 12:46
I recently got admitted to RSM Erasmus Master of Finance and Investment program, which happens to be my "safety" school. They gave me two weeks to accept, defer, or reject the offer. What should I do if I don't hear from my primary school (Villanova) in the next week or so? If I accept the offer and then learn I got into Villanova, can I somehow back out of it? Should I ask for an extension and if so, who should I contact? Any help would be appreciated.

They don't require a deposit if you say you're accepting the offer? I would think you would just lose your deposit if you decide to attend somewhere else
Oh BTW, would RSM be full cost? RSM is a great school and would likely provide better opportunities

I don't think they require a deposit - at least couldn't find any info on that. I am an EU citizen, so tuition would only be ~2k euro (vs. $32k at Villanova), but I would still prefer to study and live in the U.S.

If there's no deposit, I don't think they can really do anything. But to help their admission process and not take the spot of someone who wishes to attend, I would give them a decision.
