GPA and Work Experience [#permalink] New post 14 Feb 2014, 22:50
Hi guys,

I have 3 years work experience in an NGO.
A GPA of 3.4 in my graduation but in my majoring subjects a GPA of 3.85
I dont know if that makes a difference.

My target schools for an MBA are Said Oxford, Cambridge Judge and Warwick.
Whereas for an MS in Finance my options are LSE and LBS.

My GMAT score is 720.
Toefl 110

Can I please get an honest answer as to what my chances are to apply for September 2014?

Regards,
Aneesh

Aneesh, what is your GMAT breakdown? A 720 is just fine, unless you have an extreme inbalance. Work experience should be interesting (NGO will be well received I think) as long as you can package it as such. Did you have any increasing responsibility at work, or unique contributions? And where did you do your undergrad? At a reputable place? And BTW I have heard that having a higher major GPA does help. And your overall GPA isn't below the 80% range. As long as all things are in order, I think you are good to go. However, for the September 2014 season you are little late, and will face very still competition for limited seats in later rounds. That will be your biggest challenge IMO. Cheers

Hi there,

This sounds like it would be a great question to ask in the "Ask Admissions Consultants" forum on GMAT Club. If you haven't already, you may want to post your query there:
