GPA for universities outside the US [#permalink]

I was just wondering how I should report my university final score. I got the top score I could get for an italian university (110/110 + laude) but after reading a few posts I'm realizing that it wouldnt correspond to a 4.0 GPA, which looks almost impossible to get in the US, am I correct?
The fact that you get the highest score doesn't imply that you got the top score in each exam as there is a final bonus on a research thesis you are required to do.
Call the schools and ask them specifically. Each school has their own way of handling international candidates, but generally speaking you report your grades exactly the way they show up on your transcript and the school will figure it out from there.
Oh and by the way: How the fudge did you get a job in the Cayman Islands? I want that job too. ME LO DEVI DIRE SUBITO, O TI SFASCIO LA FACCIA!
Also, yes, you need a few extracurriculars, get on that now.
Lorenzino, which schools are you interested in? I may be applying to a couple of US universities and I'm exactly in the same situation... 110+laude and I don't know how it compares to an American GPA
