GRE (English part) compared to IELTS [#permalink]

I'm thinking about preparing for the masters in Mathematics and I discovered that I have to sit for the GRE exam. I'm fine with the Math. part of it but I'm kinda worried from the verbal/analytical parts of it because English is not my first language. I've taken the Academics IELTS before and I scored an overall band score of 7 (S=8, R=6.5, W=6, L=7.5) so in your opinion guys, is this encouraging for me to pass the GRE with a very good score the first time? & is it tricky and challenging like the English portion of the GMAT?
