Thank you so much for sharing. Life is full of setbacks. The one who succeeds is the one who does not give up...

To think how much life would be better if Meredith Viera had gone to Harvard.

Absolutely. Personally, I was rejected by 9 schools on my first application round. Two years later I applied and got accepted at Michigan.

Now michigan is what it is, but I feel like i've come a long way in my career.

One quote I remember vividly from a famous Canadian novel:
"For we pay a price for everything we get or take in this world; and although ambitions are well worth having, they are not to be cheaply won, but exact their dues of work and self-denial, anxiety and discouragement."
- By Lucy Maud Montgomery (in Anne of Green Gables)

Setbacks are necessary reminders that we have not done enough. But as long as you keep working at it, success will one day come.
