Regardless, I'm gonna play up the snow storm and the fact that I'm still coming to the interview.
Good luck !!!

Tell them you risked your neck to talk to them.

I'm going to drive down there today and pretend to one of the truckers you saved.

I wonder how many invites are still out there. Tomorrow is the last day for invites and I may be on the outside looking in. It'll be just a little bit ironic if the guys with the highest GMATs get left out and it would give a lot of credibility to what Adcoms have to say about the importance of GMAT scores.

Well, so much for that. For anyone still waiting - there is still hope. Just got an invite.

That didn't take long! Maybe posting to the club about NOT getting an invite is the equivalent of taking an umbrella to ensure that it doesn't rain....
CONGRATS!

Lets try that...
Sigh. It doesn't look like I'm going to win the lottery today by finding the winning ticket on the ground.

Keep us posted, and share! But something tells me it won't work unless you post to a lottery discussion board....

I just called the GSB... they are really good at not giving out any information no matter what!
The lady said not to worry, still more invites going out today and tomorrow. Status will be updated on Wed 9am if you have been rejected.

Congratulations Dukes! I was actually wondering if today was a holiday for them. I guess I need to continue checking my email.

invited to interview (round 2)
the invite just came in (they had some problems with my transcripts and the application became complete only on the 26th of January, but since I submited it before the 10th it still counts towards the second round)

Does anyone know when the Admitted Students weekend is in April? If I am lucky enough to get in I would like to attend and don't want to book anything big at work around that weekend.
Thanks

I wanted to post a quick update. Interviewed last week (Valentine's Day) was one of only a few interview that day. Snowing a bit when I came in but not the blizzard I was hoping for, which made me have to throw out my story of saving the lives of various truckers on my way from Michigan (quick aside, actually did see a jack-knifed trucker in Indiana, but he was already being helped out-perhaps by rhyme)
Anyways, interview lasted about 40 minutes. Because I'm non-traditional candidate (non-profit background) and interested non-traditional Chicago topic (sustainable business) was quite the interesting interview. Focussed on how I wanted to go to a school that would challenge my views and a place where I could challenge other students. 2nd-year student interviewer challenged me on sustainable business and its relations to free market (that's GSB for you) but I think I held up pretty well. We'll see. I'd still be surprised if I got in, but if their looking for some class diversity, that's probably how I'll make it.

CMNS18, what other schools are on your list? Sounds like you held up your end at the interview - good luck!

You know I was just looking at the list of R2 invitees, and it seems incredibly promising. (See page 1 for updated list). It's hard to compare to R1 because by the time we made this thread, the interview deadline for R1 had come and gone so who knows who wasn't listed (the R1 list was 100% interviewed candidates).... but still..
See page 1 for updated list.
