I'm really beating myself up over this, but in my Columbia application I put slightly inconsistent dates in for my EC's, off by just one month: for one of them, in my resume I put "June 2009 - present", but in the EC section of the application I put "5/2009 - present". My employment dates, however, were perfectly consistent and accurate. It's just the EC's that are one month off. What happened was I made the correction in my resume and forgot to change the application piece. FML

I'm really anxious about this. Anyone else have this happen to them? Anyone from previous cycles who got in anyway?

Should I notify them?

Inconsistent dates with what's on your resume may raise a red flag. I would just e-mail the adcom to let them know what happened.

I really don't think this is a big deal...just shoot them an e-mail to explain the mistake.

It's really not a big deal, I wouldn't even write them unless they ask for it specifically.

One month off, it's no big deal at all. If you make bigger errors, it's also no big deal. You can just emailt hem to let them know, but here I don't think you even need to.

You need to sit back, take a deep breath, and think about what you're worrying about. One month difference over an EC. Columbia reviews thousands of apps every year. a) They won't notice, b) they will understand that its a simple mistake and not care at all, and c) its just an EC, not WE.
