Replies inline (I'm not an expert, but I've tried to answer as sincerely as I could, please consider my replies with due skepticism ) :
I'm an Indian applicant currently working in the US, on my H1B visa. I did NOT apply for my green card.
I recently got into Kellogg full-time MBA program. My plan is to go back to India and apply for my F1 visa, as I'm planning to go to India next summer anyway. I do not want to go through a lawyer and apply for change of status.
1. Is getting an F1 visa difficult since I'm on H1B right now ? - No, it shouldn't be difficult because of your H1B, although they may ask you questions related to why you're going for a full time MBA during Visa interview.
2. Do I have to quit my job before I go for my VISA interview ? Not sure, but I remember that many did not do so, I think you can do some online search and decide on this
3. Can I use my current H1B application to get back to H1B visa, once I graduate, and use the remainder of my H1B time ? Perhaps not, although the Visa rules are complex and there is something known as "petition" with H1-B visa that decides the validity period of H1-B. Again, you cna search online and figure this out.Check these forums, you might get something useful.http://redbus2us.com/http://forum.murthy.com/index.php?/topi ... en-to-h1b/http://www.avvo.com/legal-answers/h1b-t ... -6855.htmlhttp://www.urch.com/forums/visa/61961-h ... tions.html
It will be great if someone who has gone through this process in this forum can help me out.
I appreciate your help.
