Haas/Anderson Part-time Profile Evaluation [#permalink] New post 16 Jan 2012, 17:21
Hi Stacy,

Hoping you can give me a quick eval for Haas EWMBA & UCLA FEMBA R3.

GMAT: 96th percentile Verbal / 77 percentile Quant (710)
Most advanced quant course: Applied Calculus (currently enrolled as community college)
Age: 32
GPA: 3.85 overall from small, private university in SF Bay Area
Years exp: 9 (4 after founding a start-up; 5 as an IT Pro, now a global team lead....no management)

Not much of a quant background and I'm specifically worried that my 77th percentile is low.

At a glance, what are your thoughts?

Hi tbatgmat,

Thanks for posting. At this point in your career, you shouldn't be too concerned about your GMAT score. MBA programs are going to be more focused on your work experience.

Remember that business schools are looking to cultivate future leaders, so it will be important to discuss your leadership experience. This leadership experience does not necessarily have to have been at work- perhaps you can look to extracurricular activities you have participated in.
