Shifting to R2. I missed the TOEFL requirement. None of the other schools I am applying to require TOEFL and hence did not bother to take it.

Just uploaded my essays. Turns out the online word-counter separates hypenated words (note: this is different compared to MS word that does not parse hypenated words out). Looks like back to the cutting room for me

Quite stupid question, but want to make it clear.
Does a re-applicant need to resubmit / resend his GMAT scores or transcript to the school?

They are ok if the results are not out by the time you submit your app but the toefl has to be taken before the round deadline.

Hi all,
Except for the Career Essays, all other essays of Haas are very short (250 words). I wonder if we should write a completely structured essays with Introduction, Body, and Conclusion sections or we just need a paragraph (i.e. the Body section only) for each of these essays?
Thank you.

Yes that was the major challenge cause by the time I realised I had to take Toefl there were no tests available in and around my city before Oct 14th. Hope this works to my advantage as I now got more time to fine tune my essays for other schools (LBS & Tuck). I was struggling otherwise.

Thank you. Even I am struggling with the same. A smooth introduction eats up quite a few words, and thus I am going to get straight to the heart of the matter. But a conclusion is essential - so I would say "Body + Conclusion". Any other views on this are most welcome.

Does a re-applicant need to resubmit / resend his GMAT scores or transcript to the school? Most schools will not require you to resend your GMAT score, and will merely ask you to re-state it on the app. As for the transcripts, some schools require that you resend the transcripts. I reached out to the Haas adcom on their requirements. Here's what they had to say: haas wrote: As long as your scores have not expired and you applied within the last 2 years Fall 2009 or Fall 2010 you do not need to resend your information. Hope this helps

Are you writing question 6 as one essay or as two separate essays for 6a and 6b?

Hi there,
Can anyone tell me whether Haas pays much attention to TOEFL score? Can we apply with a score of around 96?
Thank you.

Quote: (Optional) Please feel free to provide a statement concerning any information you would like to add to your application that you haven't addressed elsewhere. (500 word maximum) I was wondering if/what the other applicants are planning to wirte in this essay. I am planning to skip it but am keen to understand if anyone thinks it can be used in a positive way.

I thought about covering my career switch from investment banking to media, but folded that into the careers essay.

Good luck to everyone else working on apps for R1! Submitted... I feel I did not use the supplement essay to write down my activities properly. I should have elaborated a bit? How about you..how many words did you write approximately for the supplemental essays on activities?
