Congrats!! Did your status change from stage 1 to 2 before that and if so do you know when?

Stage 1: The description reads something like " Your application is ready for review......" and under additional notes they put in comments if they will need your official transcripts etc at a later stage if you are invited for interview

Stage 2: When the adcom guys actually pick your application for review, the status description changes to this -
"Your application for admission to the Berkeley Full-time MBA Program is under review by the Admissions Committee. You will be contacted at the decision deadline to see your final admissions decision"

I don't actually know if it changed. It was Stage 1 on Wednesday, and then I got the invite the next Monday.

Completed an off-campus interview this week and below is a recap of questions.

- Walk me through your resume
- Clarification questions on the resume
- Why MBA
- Why now
- More questions on why MBA
- What can you contribute to the Haas community
- What specific classes are you interested in taking

Overall the interview was very conversational and lasted about 45 minutes. The interviewer spent the last 15 minutes answering my questions. I was not asked any behavioral questions (not sure if this is a bad sign…).

SVD86 - don't worry! I'm sure they have TONS of applications to get through. I also think that Berkeley has a two reader system, so for some of us who are still waiting to hear back, the wait for an interview invite may be due to not having gotten a second reader yet (rather than being rejected). Based on the Berkeley forum's current invite numbers, there are still a significant number of interview invites that need to be sent out, so don't lose hope!

Kudos

That's standard. Just means your file has been checked for completeness and is now under review. If you get an interview it'll change accordingly (you'll also get an email) and it'll say to send an official transcript from _____ University (for me they only wanted an official one for my primary undergrad).

Mine status changed to stage 2 on 27/11/2013 :

Status Description

I think now they have picked up my application and reviewing. So I should be expecting interview call in a week if they like my profile.

Berkeley has a very nice app portal and they keep us updated about changes. I really appreciate that they too understand we are anticipating updates periodically.

Start it from the end. Take the list of songs that you love the most. Throw away those without lyrics or those that have undoubtedly simple lyrics. Try to find something encouraging or phylosophical, but do not go with most obvious choices, like Nirvana or The Beatles... Then find something in your life, like the time when you struggled or overcame a setback and then you should try to make an overlap between this song and that period of life and how it helped you and what you took from it. More or less like that.
