Late to the party but thought I'd share my experience thus far
Applied R1, invited to interview in early November, interview conducted week before Thanksgiving on campus with a 2nd year student
Background is European national, attended a highly ranked university in the US, math Econ with 3.5 GPA, 25 yo female currently working as a management consultant

i've just received an email saying the deadline for R2 interview invitation will be extended to Feb.21, and invites for R1 will continue....what a long way to go

If R1 applicants haven't received an interview invite by the 31st, is it safe to assume its over for them? After all the R1 result deadline is Jan 10.  (Intl. applicant here)

Guys, I would like to request everyone to please update their statuses if you have got interview invites, etc. It really helps not only those applying this year but also next year to get a clearer picture. Congrats to those who have got interview invites.

(Intl. applicant here) More like end of this week (Dec 21). The admissions office is going on break for 2 weeks and will only have 1 week before the deadline. Although, there were a few invites that went out 1 week before the deadline. Keep you hopes up!

What does Haas typically do for acceptances? Call the day before? It looks like last year deadline was Jan 27 and calls happened as early as Jan 9, can that be right?

Received the e-mail 12/19/12 around noon CST. Checked my application after and the status had been changed to "Interview and Review."
As far as submission, my application was submitted the night before the deadline (11/28/12). Looks like just about 3 week review time for my case.

What I meant, was when did you get the e-mail saying "Your file is now ready for review by the admissions committee." ? Haas sends this after you submitted, once they have verified it is all ready for review. I am guessing this the time at which they actually start reading your application. (I received that mail yesterday)
