Just got the call! So excited, and they are really great about outlining why you appealed to them as a candidate which is a nice touch.

What an amazing way to end the day :). Good luck to all other R1 applicants out there!

any interview advice you can offer?

I would suggest you be very clear as to why you want to go to Berkeley, and read up on their mission statement and the things that they say are important in their culture and community. I had an alumni interview and they clearly had some questions that had been provided by the admissions team to determine how well the applicant had researched the school and program.

Thanks! Do you feel that you had to address things that weren't communicated in your essays/application?

I am a R2 applicant based in the bay area. I learned from this thread that Haas would email you, letting you know that your application is ready for review. I haven't receieved such an email from Haas yet. But I noticed my application status changed to "Application Under Review" back in December. Is it the same case for anybody? thanks...

Congrats to everyone who has received calls! I am based out of Shanghai and am keeping my fingers crossed over the next two days for a call from Stephanie.

In past years they have called international admits first, so let's hope that holds this year.

By the way, do you work for Boeing? I met another interviewee with a background similiar to yours.

Hey, is that an interview call with Stephanie? Don't international applicants have local interviews with alums.

Hi londoncalling! Can you be a little more specific with what you meant by "some questions provided by the admissions team". What type of questions they were? Really deep about the program?

Thank you very much!

I wonder if they will send out R2 interview invites for next two days, since ad-com might be busy with all the acceptances. Does anyone have an estimate on Haas' yield?

50-60% is what i have seen a few places

Thanks BDouglas, I found some numbers for the last year.

For 240 seats they accepted 422 students. so that is about 57% yield.

Apparently R2 interview invites can go out as late as Feb. 21, according to an email I got a couple weeks ago! AHHH!! I can't wait that long.

Best of luck to you guys. I unfortunately did not even get an interview, but Haas was my top choice. It's a great school!

I am a R2 applicant, and same is the case with me. Has HAAS actively started sending out interview invites? This wait is getting torturous!

Not me - I am R1 and was interviewed by alum. The wait is KILLING! Does anyone know more about the deadline tomorrow? Does it mean we will have an email first thing in the morning or we have to wait till midnight tomorrow PST time?

I also received an interview but no admit call. Haas by far has the strangest setup.

I saw one or two acceptances in US on BTG community.
Remember Haas can handle only 240 students so they extend admission offer to around 440 people during the whole admission season. So we might not see that many people getting accepted on this community compare to some of the bigger schools such as HBS and Booth.

Haven't heard anything here either in the U.S. (interviewed R1). In past years it seems they have called U.S. candidates last but I'm starting to get worried.

For Haas, is a good idea to send an additional rec from a prominent alumni?

- R2 applicant, no interview invite received (yet, hopefully)
