Based on the timing of last year, I bet us R4 applicants who haven't heard anything regarding an interview are lame ducks. Things are not looking up at this point...

Any idea if R3 waitlist candidates will be evaluated before R4 results or after?

My thinking on the waitlist is that most will be cut/notified either way by end of May...do people think that is generally accurate? They wouldn't keep a bloated waitlist past May would they? Or am I being too optimistic?

Good questions, I can only speak for myself but I don't have a clue when they'll get back to us. It really is just a wait and see situation unfortunately hey?

I looked at last year again and my thinking is that the vast majority of updates were communicated to WL the first week of June, not long after R4 deposits are due (this year that is May 30.)

This makes sense as past that point they are talking about the handful that make an emergency drop not the bigger numbers you would expect to forfeit a deposit when they hear back from another school.

I am hitting the mental snooze button for a few weeks.

So far we have seen admits from WL early this week and dings for R4, yesterday....

Just received a waitlist update myself... "Continued on waitlist"... Gosh this wait continues... Next update from them is early June... Deadline for updated material is May 24th...

Did everyone receive this email or were few WL folks dinged too today via email?
