HARD GMAT TESTS? [#permalink] New post 09 Jul 2007, 10:37
Hi ppl,
I have just started studying for GMAT but my work is pretty busy i dont get much time for it, i intend to take the test in around a month, i was just browsing and solving few questions from official guide and found that i am pretty decent with quants, RC and CR for a starter but i suck at SC.
where can i get some really hard GMAT tests ? i would prefer solving hard stuff even though its harder then GMAT.

thanks,
aks

Try the Manhattan GMAT online exams. You can buy them specifically off their website.

you get MGMAT tests free if you buy one of their books. I think that Number Properties is an excellent choice. they also sell challenges for $25

A quite reputable source told me that kaplan800 is worthless, especially for verbal, as the logic and structure of its questions is nowhere close to the real GMAT. What do you think?

Thanks

I think it is very hard to duplicate anything from GMAT verbal. nothing i have used has the same 'flavor' as GMAT verbal. I heard LSAT is good for some CR type stuff. If I didn't have to take my gmat next month I would probably pick it up...

A lot of the CR 1000 are from LSAT questions. They are a lot harder than GMAT CR. I have taken both the LSAT and the GMAT. If you want to do better on RC and CR do some LSAT quality questions.

raptr,

i dont know about the bad reviews you have got regarding kaplan 800, but yes, i liked verbal a lot in kaplan 800 specially CR. SC also is good with lot of variety in questions.

Princeton Review is better for verbal prep than Kaplan. Quite a bit better. The tests aren't brutally hard, but in my experience they were on par with the real thing.

It is not easy to find relevant and/or hard questions.
I would suggest to use 1000SC to practice SC, LSAT CR&RC to practice CR and RC.
