I think this is correct. I was at an HBS admissions event in Boston earlier this fall where Dee spoke. She said that different adcom members are in charge of different industries and/or geographies. So it would make sense that whichever industry/geography groups have already been evaluated would have invites sent out today, whereas those industry/geography groups that have not yet been evaluated will go out next week. But who really knows?!

I've been worried silly that its 10/17 invites for admissions and 10/24 invites for WL.

North America? Is Pharma and Biotech considered the same industry?


Yes, North America. My assumption is they would lump pharma and biotech together based on reports sent out previously that list the fields that class members come from.

Has anyone recently received an invite i.e. in the past 20 mins or so?

I'm wondering whether they sent out everything around 12:00 EST or whether they are sending over the course of the past few hours.

Did anyone in North America in Venture Capital / Private Equity get an invite?

Based on the people who said yes I didn't see anyone with that descriptor - just wondering if they broached that "category" yet.

Without driving ourselves TOO crazy trying to interpret the invitation tea leaves, if we assume that apps are generally divided by industry/geography, should I abandon my hope for next week if I know my coworker received an invite earlier this AM?

Still interpreting tea leaves at this point. Don't give up yet, even if it's only 25% of invites left that's still a decent chunk.
