Where do you see this requirement? There is a lot of stuff on the prematric site, I haven't looked into all details yet.

I am required to go through Analytics as well (accounting and finance). Probably because I am an engineer without any business education (even though I did spent 3 years in consulting at one of the M/B/B)...

Just curious, anyone felt they had a mediocre/less than mediocre interview and got in?

I am just trying to gauge our the perception of our int performance vs. reality..

Really surprised that there are so many sub-3.5 gpa folks who got into HBS, given that they are gpa heavy and have a median gpa of 3.7. Congrats to all!! You will easily have the best and most transformational 2 years of your lives. (For single guys, HBS will be like shooting fish in a barrel)

Really Brady? Give it up. I know multiple dudes at HBS and this is just false.

 He had been trying so hard to hide it, too!

It is one of the last items on the checklist - the list is chronological based on due date and the actual course is in mid-August. If you don't see it, you don't have to take it.

Yeah, same background here. Raised by accounts and taught myself finance during my BD role, but still an engineer with no formal accounting or finance education

Mediocre is good- because surprise surprise HBS didnt ask scripted STAR format questions. I felt my interviewer made up the questions along the way as we talked. I polled several students/alums and not one didnt reminisce their mediocre fare.

I did as well, yesterday afternoon (within ~15min of each other). I'm sure it'll happen soon.

I too got a call from Dee and then 2 hours later a call from my interviewer.

Also - I'm an Engineer and Analytics was recommended. I have zero finance or accounting background but I guess I do a lot of excel magic? Anyway - I enrolled to take it. I figure 1) I can meet people not in my section, 2) maybe relieve some inevitable first day nerves and 3) not feel immediately behind.

My friend took it last and said it was a lot of work but she would do it again for the reasons I listed above.

Still super excited!! I wonder when this wears off...

Well done to those who got offers. Are any of you who got offers over the avg age, in particular in your thirties?

I realize this is months away, but does anyone know what the time is from submit to finding out if you get an interview?

Thinking about a R2 application, but wanted to figure out timing first.

Our interview invites went out about a month after the submission deadline:
Application deadline: Sept 24
Interview notifications: Oct 17th and Oct 24th
Final Decision: Dec 12th

From the posted application dates, R2 has the same span of days between deadline and final decision: http://www.hbs.edu/mba/admissions/appli ... dates.aspx

Just curious as I have not seen many in this thread, but any got into HBS with 50%/100% scholarships? Looks like P&Q mentions HBS offering a significant amount of aid (loans/scholarships) but never seen many in this thread.
