My plan was to wait until tonight to check, HBS has other plans (admitted students weekend email). IN, and could not be more excited.

Congratulations!!!
P.S. Your username is familiar but I see you only registered a few weeks ago. Was it from chat? or another place?
Either way, congratulations and good luck!
If you have a moment or two, it would be helpful for applicants in the coming years (esp from your background/location/etc) if you could post your MBA Application Journey/experience. Things that have helped you, motivated you, were frustrating, and how you overcome them? What would you do differently, etc

We started a forum esp for this purpose: share-your-application-experience-332/

Just to share my profile quickly, from a couple of requests:

-Male, 25, NY
-Went to Ivy League School (Not YHP), Focus IR + Econ, graduated with 3.8 GPA. Internships at Think Tanks and International ORGs (UN/WTO/etc) and Summer in Beirut
- 740 GMAT with weakish Quant (Q44 V44)
- 1 Year working at NGO that develops startups and entrepreneurship in Cairo, Egypt, right after revolution
- 3 months at DB Research, helping write report on economic development in MENA
- Since then, been working as head of business development in startup in Berlin

Applied to just Stanford and Harvard, dinged at Stanford w/o interview

1. Congrats
2. This question is completely irrelevant but, how did a 44Q and 44V translate into a 740?

Thank you! I use the same username on P&Q and BeatTheGMAT. That could be where you've seen it.
Happy to detail my journey for others. Will do that over the next couple of days.

Round Three Application Deadline [#permalink] New post 04 Apr 2014, 08:00
FROM HBS Admissions Blog: Round Three Application Deadline
We're coming down the home stretch now.

The Round 3 application deadline is Monday, April 7 at 12:00 noon EDT.

We'll be here this weekend to answer questions: We'll have phone coverage on Saturday, April 5 from 1:00 - 4:00pm EDT and again on Sunday, April 6 from 3:00 - 6:00pm EDT. Technical questions about the application can be directed to slatesupport@hbs.edu.

Our next post here will give details about the Round 3 interview schedule.

One more thing - lots of Am I eligible for the 2+2 Program? questions coming in. Here's the scoop: To be considered for admission to the 2+2 Program class entering in Fall 2016, your graduation date from your bachelor’s or master’s program must be between October 1, 2013 and September 30, 2014. The 2+2 application is meant for current students who have not been out in the professional world yet (not including summer internships or work associated with degree programs, e.g. co-ops). Additionally, if you are in a professional degree program (JD, PhD, or MD) you may apply to HBS via our regular admissions application, but not via the 2+2 application. As always, there is more information on our 2+2 website.

Hope your weekend is good...and that you feel great when you hit the submit button.

As did I - not expecting too much here but worth the shot - after all, they are probably going to take at least someone from round 3

I applied in round 3. But I'm still waiting on one of my recommenders to get a letter in. Unfortunately, my recommender is a very busy person and has told me that he will get it in to HBS by April 11th.

Will HBS still honor my application? Or am I outta luck?

Thanks

I'd suggest reaching out to the admissions office directly. They are normally okay with recs being a day or two late. I'm not sure about as many days late as you'll be. In general, it's best to chat with them directly.
