Has anyone tested in San Francisco? [#permalink] New post 17 Jan 2009, 19:35
Hi Everyone-

The first time I took the test I took it in NY because I was visiting for the holidays and there were no test options for me here in San Francisco.

I am taking the test again in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had any experience in San Francisco.

If so - How did you get there? It seem to be a pretty inconvenient area - I don't trust the bus or a taxi - I might drive but not sure if parking is a pain - 8am on a Monday!

Was there more than one testing room? How many people per room?

How was the staff???

THANKS!

I plan to go check out but figured I would ask!

Parking is not bad if you are willing to pay, there is a large parking structure adjacent to the testing center building (very close to the Levi Plaza).

The building is actually very easy to find and is right off the embarcadero near Fisherman's Wharf. It is easily accessible from the Bay Bridge, or Golden Gate. Google Map that and you should be good to go.

Once in the testing center you will be placed into a single room where up to 15 other people may be taking similar exams. Lockers are provided and a bathroom is nearby. I give it a 7/10 for convenience. Noise levels are very low, which is a good thing.

Anything else?

Thanks!

How was the staff? In NY they said to be there 30 min earlier so I got there at 7:30 and they didn't open until almost 7:50 - very annoying! Overall they were really nice though. Did they have earplugs or those headphone looking noise blockers? I don't usually use them but there was a time when I was trying to do reading comprehension and this idiot was typing on the key board with such force I couldn't think straight!
