Having all the allegations thrown at him concerning taking steroids and his fight against
testicular cancer, Lance Armstrong has remained Tour De France’s leading cyclist with
seven consecutive wins.
b) In spite of the many allegations made against him concerning illegal steroid use
-- > To analyse the sentence, is is that correct to say that: "In spite of many allegations (that were)
made against him concerning illegal steroid use...."
e) Despite being constantly accused to take the steroids ==> "Being" is redundant but still grammatically correct, right? In addition, as I know, GMAT prefer Despite than "In spite of" b/c the former is more economic.
Can anyone help to clarify? Thanks
