E) Having broken with Freud, later writings by Jung nevertheless bore signs of the continued

When I looked at it I thought all of them were incorrect.

OA is C

(C) is the only answer where the subject of the subordinate phrase (i.e 'he'), refers to the subject of the main clause (i.e. 'Jung'). The others are ambiguous or wrong comparison. cheers
