hey guys i was wondering if the 326(q-168,v-158) on the gre is a competitive score for the HBS 2+2,sloan business etc? i know that there are many factors that come into play in getting the admission.but i want to know if thee326 will give me an edge or will it just be a number in my application?

i have pretty amazing extra curriculars and my timeline and essays are pretty coherent with my goals, but the problem is with my college academics.i didn't perform too well . so guys please help me out.

Hey there,

Your GRE score (roughly) translates to a ~710 on the GMAT scale. At that range, it won't be the differentiator you're hoping for. It's a strong score, but it isn't going to push you over the edge. If your GPA isn't that strong, then you need a higher standardized test score to offset it.

Most programs look to the GPA and GMAT together to determine your ability to handle academic rigor. Not to mention, they report both of those for ranking purposes so they matter.

If you have the time, I'd suggest you study a little bit and take your GMATs (versus the GRE) and try to break the 720 mark.

Let me know if you have any questions!
