HBS optional essay 3 [#permalink] New post 25 Jul 2010, 10:35
Hi Linda,

For HBS optional essay 3, "Tell us about a time in your professional experience when you were frustrated or disappointed ", can I use the experience from my graduate research ( I have an MS from US) and the relationship with my research supervisor in the initial days ? The situation involves a frustrating experience initially because of clash of different work cultures, misplaced expectations etc. Once we worked these out, we had a very productive working relationship.

My question boils down to : does the graduate research experience count as 'professional' for MBA application ? Thanks.

To me it's a stretch. Do you have another option? Do you have more traditional work experience?

Best,
Linda
