Healthcare MBA and MBA/MHSA [#permalink]
23 Dec 2010, 21:14
Hi All,
I've talked to a number of students, but I could use some outside opinions of different MBA programs with a health care specialty. I've applied to:
- Wharton (MBA) - Kellogg (MBA) - Ross / Michigan School of Public Health (MBA/MHSA) - Haas (MBA/MPH) - Fuqua (MBA)
I'm trying to figure out which program is best if I want to maximize my chances for a career in health care services (either working for a hospital or for a consulting firm that specializes in health care services). I am not interested in working for biotech or pharma.
Right now I am most excited about Wharton given its reputation and its strong placement at top consulting firms. Does anyone have any feedback as to some of the pros and cons of the other schools on my list and what their strengths are vis-a-vis health care?
Thanks!

Vanderbilt's Owen School of Management has a pretty unique and well-respected Healthcare MBA.
