Also, this is for admitted students, not students who have committed, helping further support the case that it might not be a bad idea to apply even if it's a later round? Thanks traveler! Smart observation. I think I'm going to apply this year. I've heard of quite a few people who applied in February and who were admitted.

I've got a better GMAT and was dinged without interview at a lower ranked school (as per Financial Times)

GMAT was not alone. I have got 3.98 GPA from top 5 Ukrainian University, it ranks top top in Ukraine in Economics and Finance. I have got 10 months internship in an international bank (top 10 in my country), 1 year work experience as a freelance copywriter. + articles published (mostly banking topics). + I am a good swimmer. Essays do not matter when you apply for MSc (HEC FAQ). So just one question: HELL WHY?

@chillaxedcfa I wasn't trying to challenge your credentials. I was under the impression you were applying to the MBA program and didn't read the post thoroughly. If work experience and essays don't matter for the MFin as you say I have no idea why you wouldn't be admitted or at least granted an interview Posted from my mobile device

Just wondering, does HEC's MSc in Finance require solid work experience and did HEC indicate to you to reapply with more seasoning?
I don't think that there are so many Ukranian applicants at HEC. Your stats are impressive

Decided against applying for the Feb 8th deadline and likely won't try for the next round either. Work took over in the new year and I simply wasn't happy with what I had put together for the essays/app etc. so far. I really love what I've read about the program and may withdraw my applications from this year's cycle and reapply in full next fall.
Best of luck to those still seeking admission!

I have finished the interviews. I am waiting for next week decision. Does anybody know if they give some scholarships (The HEC Scholarships for Excellence in particular) at the same time as the decision ?

After deliberating for several months over whether I was going to apply to the HEC program I've decided that I'd like to send an application in for the March 3rd deadline. I've got a couple questions that I was hoping some of you could help me with before I do apply:
1. As an international, will a Aprill 22nd decision give me enough time to secure Visa/other documents needed before the program begins in the fall?
2. Is the March 3rd deadline too late in the cycle to be considered for scholarship/financial aid?
3. For interviews do you think its best to try to get to Paris for a campus interview if that can be accomplished?
Thanks in advance to anyone that can lend some aid. I've tried to find this information through my own research and have recently contacted the schools itself am awaiting reply.

I advice you to get the campus interview, that way you should be able to meet with a current student and with your admission advissor. They will be able to answer your questions and give you more insights about the program.
